Content description
This sub-series covers the creation and development of the work from the early manuscripts and typescripts through to the page proofs.
The manuscripts and typescripts show the development of the poems with the drafts differing from earlier versions to varying degrees. The changes vary from the alteration the word order to complete rewrites of particular stanzas. A number of the early drafts were also written under different titles from the final published version.
The files contain drafts of 14 of the 17 poems published in the final work. The poems not represented are:
'Breakfast in Bed'
'The Lookout Tree'
'Nothing in Particular'
A number of the works in this book were republished in later book and additional drafts can be found MS 924 01 14-16
