The Moscow Art Theatre production of Hamlet in 1911–1912 was a collaboration between Edward Gordon Craig and Konstantin Stanislavski, which allowed Craig to use many of his new and visionary techniques. Despite some hostile reactions from the Russian press, the production and Craig’s designs were widely acclaimed.

This sub-series is primarily made up of photographs of the production itself and Craig’s model created in planning the design, as well as pictures he took whilst in Russia. It also contains various ephemera collected by Craig including receipts and postcards, as well as articles concerning the production and its impact on the theatre.
