This collection of diaries covers Thesiger’s time in Abyssinia, firstly to attend the coronation of Haile Selassie, and subsequently his time with the Danakil tribesmen and his journey along the Awash river.
Associated material
The diaries were edited and published by Thesiger in 1996 along with an introduction and photographs taken during the journey. See MS 433 07 05 for typescripts of the diaries.
