Lists in several hands loose in a paper cover with a paste-on paper label (possibly Provost Marten's hand) "3 in D8". Many items marked with x as though checked off.
/1 ff.1-4 Numbered list of grants, mainly by Henry VI (see detailed list). 1-59, no.59 being on front cover. Mainly one hand, apparently same as that of endorsement of COLL/ARCH/28, with items 16-25 in a smaller hand and blacker ink.
/2 f.5 Endorsed by Betham 'Notes out of the Tower relating to Eton College estates H VI-VII & VIII, Edw VI'. List of charters confirmed (see detailed list). In 2nd hand of /1
/3 The Lowermost Great Box. In 1st hand of /1 with later notes, some by Martin. Numbered list of items, 1-110 (111 deleted) and entry for charter of Edward VI and 'notes out of ye Tower...' (COLL/ARCH/28)
/4 ff.10-13 Cartae episcopi Lincoln. et Bullae Pontif. (found after f.8). List by 1st hand of /1 of 36 items, some with second numbers beside them. The whole cancelled by vertical lines, ff.11v-end blank.
On inside cover, contemporary note: The Cartae Regum above ye great box. The Catalogue within ye Greate Box.
