Windsor, Berkshire: Feoffment of messuage

Feoffment by Agnes Starkey, widow, late wife of Hugo Starkey, late of New Windsor, co. Berks, deceased, to John Gulston, William Smyth, Thomas Kydde, clerks, and John Butler, of a messuage in New Windsor in the parish of Clewer, between a messuage of William Stevyns and Elizabeth his wife, by right of the said Elizabeth daughter of John Rodde, on the south, a messuage of Richard Dary on the north, the King’s way called Brigstrete on the east, and the King’s way called Beremanlane on the west, also half acre of arable in the parish of New Windsor in the fee of the abbot of Reading in a field called Underourefeld between land of the Royal College of St Mary of Eton on east, land of Andrew Symonds al. Beremen, late of Robert Cotyngham, on the west, the King’s park called Littelparke on the south, and land of the said college on the north, all of which descended to her at the death of Thomas Wollesby her father son and heir of Isabella, daughter and heir of John Towe, late of Windsor; to the use of the said Thomas Kydde for life, and afterwards to the use of the King’s college of our Blessed Lady of Eton reserving to the grantor for life an annuity of 13s 4d also power of attorney to William Ketyll and John Alfeld to give seisin.
