Windsor, Berkshire: Grant of messuage

Grant by William Gyloth, canon of the college of Windsor, to Richard Orchard, his servant, for his good service, of a messuage with a curtilage adjacent opposite the gaol in Windsor, which he had of the gift of Richard Hawle, lying between the messuage sometime of Thomas Postell, now of William Knoller, on the south, and the messuage sometime of Nicholas Hertele, now of John Reynys, Knight, on the north, and extending at one end onto the King’s way on the west and at the other onto le Oldehawes on the east.
Witnesses: Ralph Chippes, steward of the merchant guild of Windsor, James Chaundeler and Robert Coterell, then bailiffs, Thomas Kyngeston, John Perys and many others. Given at Windsor 19 March 6 Henry VI.
