Windsor, Berkshire: Quitclaim of manor

Quitclaim by the burgesses of New Windsor to the Provost and Royal College of the Blessed Mary of Eton next Windsor, co. Bucks, of all their right in the manor called le Mote, co. Berks, and in all the possessions of the said Provost and College within the parish, town or borough of New Windsor. On 3rd July 21 Henry VI the King had granted the said burgesses the said town or borough, and in his last Parliament at Westminster had granted inter alia to the said Provost and College the said manor of le Mote which is situated in the parish of New Windsor and extends into the said town or borough.
Witnesses: John Avelyn, then mayor, Roger Wayte and John Notewey, bailiffs, William Sherman, William Towe, John by the Wode, Roger Sherman, Thomas Swan, John Rowelonde, John Kempshale, Edmund Pery, Thomas Symonet and several others. Given on the morrow of the Conception of the Blessed virgin Mary 25 Henry VI.
