Indenture of lease for 7 years by Henry Bost, Provost of the College of the Blessed Mary of Eton, co. Buk, and the College, to John Pomfrett, of Dachett, of a sewer or weir in the Thames called Horned Were with all the fishery and .... appurtaining, except the young of the swans nesting on the eytes which are reserved to the lessors. Yearly rent £4, payable in equal portions at Michaelmas and Lady day. And the lessee shall pay to the curate of the parish church of Old Windsor the tithes due, and fifteenths to the King as shall be necessary, and shall keep in repair the house belonging to the said weir. If the rent is a month in arrears or the lessee has not carried out any other part of the agreement, the lessors may enter and expel him.
