Report by John Fordyce, Surveyor General, to the Commissioners of the Treasury concerning the terms of a renewal of the lease of the Christopher, quoting a survey of 1797. Observes that about three quarters of Eton parish consists of lammas and common lands and an enclosure would be advantageous to the proprietors and convenient for the tenants.
