Windsor, Berkshire: Grant of land

Grant by Richard, bishop of Salisbury, to Stephen Merston of an acre of land, which was of John Upnore, with ditches and hedges included, in the parish of New Windsor in the domain of the abbot of Redyng of Undreore. The said Stephen had granted the said bishop an acre of land situated within the parish of New Windsor under Upnoregrove between the land of the said bishop, late of John Upnore, on the east, and the land late of Henry Bolley on the west and the common called Bradley on the south, to be held by the bishop for enlarging the King's park there, with the intention that the said Stephen should have the aforesaid acre, late of John Upnore.
