Content description

Indenture between Thomas Barker, clerk, and masters Robert Elyot, John Peyse and William Wytherys. Since the said Thomas Barker and lately enfeoffed together with John Bonoure, clerk, David Whyttchurch and Richard Profet, now defunct, by master William Westbury, Provost of the Royal College of the Blessed Mary of Eton, of a messuage with a garden adjacent situated in New Windsor in le Prestesstrete opposite the goal there between the tenement late if William Knoller, now of Richard Gardiner, on the south and the messuage pertaining to the King's College of Eton on the north, abutting at one end onto the King's way on the west and at the other onto le Oldehawes on the east, with the intention of putting the said Provost and College in peaceful possession of the same whenever they should reasonable require it; the said master Thomas Barker at the special requisition of the Provost and College has placed the said masters Robert Elyot, John Peyse and William Wytherys in peaceful possession of the premises.
