Hanging Langford, Wiltshire: Letter concerning timber
Level
Item
Date
19 March 1817
Content description
John Seagram, Steeple Langford, to the bursar. He is the clergyman of the parish and thinks it his duty to inform the College that a good deal of their timber is cut down by the tenants, particularly by one Jones, a fact that cannot be ascertained by a steward living at a distance. He would not like to have his own name mentioned in this matter.
