Never hoped for a chance for his friend unless the living was so small that Etonians, who should have a prior claim, would refuse it. Is grateful for the subscription to the Bishop's memorial. Work is to begin immediately on the restoration of the choir and they hope to be able to move on to interior decoration, the restoration of the partly visible wall paintings, the stalls, throne and flooring.
