Windsor, Berkshire: Will of A Merwad 3 November 1410

Will of Alice Merwad, bequeathing her soul to God, the Blessed Mary and all the Saints; her body to be buried in the cemetery of the church of St John the Baptist in New Windsor; to the church of Sarum 2d, to the vicar of the said church 8d, to the clerk of the said church 2d, for a light to Saint Mary a heyffe of bees, for a light to the Holy Cross 2d, for a light to the Holy Trinity 2d, for the alter of the Holy Trinity a towel.
Thomas Prophet to be executor.
The will was proved before the officers of the archdeacon of Berkshire and letters were issued for the same. The administration of the goods was committed to John Crips, proctor of Thomas Prophet, executor, who was sworn in form of law.
Given at Radyng 20 April 1411. And afterwards he compounded with the office and was released without the right of anyone.
