Windsor, Berkshire: Grant of croft

Grant for £9 paid by Richard Fytzwater, of New Windsor, co. Berks, by William Hynderlyng and Joan, his wife, of Eton, co. Buks, to the said Richard, and Thomas Benett, William Pury and John Bekford, of Windsor, of a croft of land in Windsor in the fee of the abbot of Redyng between the water of the Thames on the north and the common pasture on the east and south and a croft of land pertaining to the tenement in which John Marten lives on the west, to be held for the use of the said Richard.
And appointment of Richard Foster, of Windsor, tayler, as their attorney to deliver full seisin of the premises. Given 15 January 4 Henry VIII.
Two seals.
"per me Wyllam Hyndyrlyng".
Endorsed with names of witnesses to the taking of the seisin; John Marten, constable of Underowre, Edmund Symson, Thomas Cherwell alias Thomas Miller, William Carter and William Burgate.
Also Andrew Bereman, tenant of the said croft, returned tenant of the same to the said Richard by payment of a penny. Witnesses: Edmund Symson, John Momfrey and John Yong.
